More about MDE's web conferencing and Internet based training plans

With Internet based training, you can participate in "live" training classes from any location in the world. All you need is an Internet connection.

Class capabilities vary from vendor to vendor. Here are the features that we are looking at incorporating into our MDE training programs:
    -  "Live" PowerPoint presentations with annotation
        capability
    -  Full audio via VoIP (no separate phone call to make)
    -  Whiteboard
    -  Web site touring capability
    -  Application and desktop sharing
    -  Interactive participation (for larger groups, this will be
       controlled more)

In a normal meeting mode of only a few participants, significant flexibility is provided to collaborate and share ideas via interactive voice communication, sharing control of the whiteboard or slides, etc.

In a classroom setting, the Presenter must minimize audience participation in order to insure the material is covered within the time slots. There will be time at the end of each class segment for Q&A and at the end of the full class as well. In addition, follow-up via phone or email is always available to students as needed to make the learning experience as comprehensive as possible.

The approach we will use at MDE will provide the flexibility for both small group collaboration as well as large audience presentations and classes.
